MLSS and Joshua Tree came together to sign an MoU to combine their strengths and build a sustainable model, which would benefit both the organizations in development and networking. Using MLSS’ extensive network, Joshua Tree would expand its business and operations on a larger scale, and using Joshua Tree’s expertise in designing and implementing solutions, MLSS would gain developmental benefits in executing its programs.
Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS):
MLSS is a multiple award-winning UK registered charitable organization inspired by the Sikh ethos of helping those in need, regardless of sex, race, religion, and background. Charity is primarily provided in the form of free food (langar) on the streets of the UK for the homeless/less fortunate. Other initiatives include (but not limited to) period poverty, school breakfast clubs, women refuge centres, army veteran support, 24hr emergency food parcel drop off, dental check-ups, and disaster relief. The objective of the charity is to elevate social well-being and MLSS intends to keep growing its portfolio of initiatives.
Joshua Tree 108 Ltd:
Joshua Tree 108 Ltd is a UK company established to design and implement sustainable and high impact solutions in the areas of Blue Economy, Environment, and Social Development. The organization incubates and manages a portfolio of these solutions that manifest in multiple formats ranging from programs, projects, ventures, financial instruments, and collaboration.
Coming together as a Joint Venture
MLSS commits to grant Joshua Tree 108 Ltd permission to use its naming rights in its marketing literature and other communications, upon prior approval from MLSS. MLSS would also proactively seek potential business opportunities on behalf of Joshua Tree 108 Ltd and grant access to both current and future networks. It would ensure the allocation of sufficient resource on their part for all MLSS related tasks/activities as part of the collaboration.
Joshua Tree commits to act as a systems integrator, providing technology transfer/knowledge transfer in the space of clean water/dirty water/environmental impact/air pollution. Joshua Tree would also provide MLSS with a share of any profits (% to be agreed on a case-by-case basis) generated by businesses obtained via the MLSS network/collaboration. It would help in the identification of platforms for local /national government spend, and aid in bid sourcing and bid writing. Joshua Tree would also provide its expert help in design, manufacture, execution, and delivery of activity via collaboration partners, including Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Service & Maintenance (S&M) and marketing.
